I have worked with consultants and clinicians from programs throughout Northern California (San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Placer, Sonoma, Napa, and Sacramento Counties) and a few throughout the United States (Montana, Arizona, Oregon, and Washington States).

Although briefer trainings can be useful in starting a conversation, longer term interventions are always more successful in developing program practices and consultation skills. Below are some of the formats in which I’ve offered Consultation Training in the past.

        Training Forums

  1. Individual supervision and consultation

  2. Group supervision and consultation

  3. Workshops

  4. 2-day Trainings

  5. Year-long Classes

Supervision & Clinical Consultation

For clinicians preparing for licensing or perhaps re-specializing or expanding their scope of work, I am available for individual and group supervision and consultation. Training in technique and modes of clinical work are important to developing as a therapist. However, clinical work is best when we include ourselves in the work. My wish for you is that you find and develop an authentic way of being that is respectful of who you are while maintaining appropriate boundaries with clients.

I have supervised and consulted to clinicians in the practice of consultation, child-parent psychotherapy, child play therapy, and adult psychotherapy.

I’m happy to think with you to see if I or another clinical consultant might match your wishes and goals.

I have been providing consultation for 15 years and have taught and supervised other consultants or administrators developing consultation programs for the last 12. My extensive experience supervising mental health consultants who are preparing for licensing as well as seasoned clinicians who are expanding their skills helps me to tailor consultation training and supervision to you and your program. I was one of the developers of UCSF’s Infant-Parent Program’s consultation training program for license-eligible clinicians, one of the first of its kind nationally. For more comprehensive discussions about my consultation approach, please refer to my publications.
